Murder She Wrote

As I lay here listening to the rain hitting my window panes
Thoughts of you and the things we use to do enter my brain
Reminiscing about the love we shared that had disappeared
And the reasons for its demise to this day remains uncleared
You once were like a full moon in a sky filled with glistening stars
Staring in your eyes had me mesmerized like a galactic trip to Mars
Exploring the universe outside of Earth whenever you were next to me
Had my nose wide open and had me hoping that we were destined to be
Our future together appeared bright until you turned out its lights
By venturing out with other guys and telling lies causing our fights
I wasn't enough for you and I played the fool as if my name was Boo Boo
Became smarter than the average bear and got out of there away from you
You attempted to convince me to take you back regardless of these facts
My response was hell no as I closed my door telling you to go lay on your back
With the next dude that'll be manipulated into playing the role of your fool
Fast forward about 10 years and what do I hear? Someone has murdered you.
