Bubby Love
Bubby Love
My big brother is my best friend
Always has been and always will
He protected me, when we were young
Our hearts both need a little mend
We lived lives that were just to real
He stood as tall, as the trees did hung
All we had was each other
Worthless was our father and mother
I followed him like a lost puppy
He must've tired of his constant shadow
But when we were alone, we were happy
Other times we were so low
Forget the guns and shouting matches
We've seen to much, that's for sure
Closed hands and hair brushes to beat us down
He always fixed me with patches
Even though there was no cure
He always cheered me up, like a clown
I love my big bubby so
This I'm writing, so he'll know
With all the bad things we've endured
He always made me feel assured
I couldn't get hurt with him around
With arm around me and fists held high
You want to hurt me? Don't even try!
