On a poet's mind poetry establishes,
By illusion of the eye it thrives
Through emotions of the heart, it spreads
Across vast Seas it travels
Out to conquer human thoughts

Poetry gives accolade to the deserving,
Condemns the condemnable
Fights for the meek

Sarcasm and imagery,
Among its greatest weapons
Rhyme, the pillar where it stands

It's like a heavy load,
One only put down on paper
An emotional ignition of the heart,
To just let the pen glide
Left to right along the lines
Line after line toward the bottom

Poetry never disappoints,
Works beautifully
And pays handsomely
