Moon Dust

I told the sun about your kiss
I told the moon about your lips
I told the stars about the way you move your hips
I whispered into space about how badly I miss your taste
I close my eyes and we danced and we sung
We pranced and we swung
We twirled our way around the milkyway
Through the moon dust I pulled you close
And begged you to stay
But now you’re slipping through my finger tips, drifting farther and farther away to another undiscovered galaxy
Like a lost astronaut losing air, I gasp and try to breathe you in once more
But I choke on your lies specked in cosmic dust
Please pull me back down through the clouds  I’m aching from floating around
Can anyone hear me, I’m sending out an sos
But I don’t think I can make a sound
All signals are lost, you severed the tether

* I’m not really satisfied with this poem and will probably modify it soon. I was halfass inspired while writing it so I just wanted to jot it down.
