Shadow

 I am
A friend you"ve always had
Even though I stray away at times
Im scared of light
Just as mutch as the dark
I fade away to nothing
Or envelop everything
I cannot protect you
For I wish I could
But I can only protect you from
The counter parts of others
I move as you do
You trust and teach me
Im always by your side
Im here to talk to
To stare apon
To laugh at
And cry to
I make you feal secure
When you"re alone
Even when im not there
I watch you as you sleep
For as you do I weep
In light I burn
I was here when you were born
I will be there when you die
Seen or unseen im am by your side
No matter my shape nore size
Nor do I seem wise unless you want me to be
I am your friend
