The Human Lies

"The Human Lies" by Gal E. Cohen

I fell for it every time back in the day
You used to have a sweet heart
And I was naïve for I couldn’t deny
Those blond curls that just made my day
A smile that made me want to play

He is an overdose
Tastes like coke but worth as much as cocaine
You can never get enough
Though he’s danger
Stopping is tough
Tense alone
Wild with friends

The human lies

I knew he liked to play the ball
But more than home base seemed way too far
I bet he’d tell all his friends
Fresh innocence, it’s what we’d miss
It was what he did before
This round was the second time
I guess I was an emotional bore
To him is seemed like crime
Spending the day with me was wasting his time

Time passed but my heart had froze
Those actions seemed a must
Late nights hosing off
Over doing the magic of lust
Late nights when I saw the light
Imagining you betray me
Though all was over
Statics ran through hundreds of walls

The human lies

All was done
I had drown in the dirt
In the mess you had begun
The unpredicted end came
I will not cry, I did not cry
I pushed him away
Every time I see your face
It’s like a scar carving its self back into place
