Wherever You Are
I just want to be somewhere new
With you, away from everything
We have ever known with a blue
Sky. Some place where you sling
Your arm around me when it feels
Like I have finally found my home
And comfort. The turning wheels
Stop spinning. Away from the dome
And city the stars look brighter.
The hope feels more real and shines.
Everything in this air feels lighter.
We used to be caught up in vines
And webs, but we are no longer
There. The sunshine across our
Faces feels new. We are stronger.
The darkness does not devour
Us any longer, but we come to peace
With it. I want to be where you are
When the stress and every crease
Is gone. We are not a fast moving car.
With you, away from everything
We have ever known with a blue
Sky. Some place where you sling
Your arm around me when it feels
Like I have finally found my home
And comfort. The turning wheels
Stop spinning. Away from the dome
And city the stars look brighter.
The hope feels more real and shines.
Everything in this air feels lighter.
We used to be caught up in vines
And webs, but we are no longer
There. The sunshine across our
Faces feels new. We are stronger.
The darkness does not devour
Us any longer, but we come to peace
With it. I want to be where you are
When the stress and every crease
Is gone. We are not a fast moving car.
