They'll all say it
as often do,
"Oh gosh, I'm
so sorry for you..."
They will try
to be thoughtful
on your darkness'
view
Finally, ejectin'
a cliche' held true,
"I know how you
feel, 'cuz they were
like family to you"
Yet, what's sadly
missed is the reality
you live thru, losin'
"a pet" they maybe
But for all who know
the love of animals...
They're more than,
"LIKE" they ARE
Family...

Ten years ago, I had a black lab puppy ...named him Snoop...he was only six months when he died...bit a electrical cord he found hidden in a hole in the wall...supposedly it wasn't live...well it caused him seizure, n eventually he passed from it...still miss him...thank you, sorry bout ur loss...

Well said. Sometimes my animals are far more comforting than my family. I know they are part of the reason I can get through the ruff times. To loose them has always left a hole in my heart that I wouldn't want to fill with anything else. This may sound strange but, I would rather feel the pain of the loss, than try to forget them.
