honesty is
carefully planned words that hit home
pretty words that make you think
honesty is the truth
but only when you want to hear it
I am not honest
I am brutal
I am no holds barred
I bite down and rip flesh
I tear and destroy and break
I am honest
brutally so
in my words
in my writing
in my head
because kindness and delicacy are reserved
for those who deserve it
and I do not
I never did
