To forgive
To the man who put my younger
self in the closet and did what you wanted to me.
Who told me to keep quiet and to not flee,
I do not forgive you.
To the group of boys that did not seem to know the meaning of sexual assault.
Who made me feel that I was at fault,
I do not forgive you.
To my first love, who thought I consented to my first time.
Who in the end, cheated and made me feel low and grime
I do not forgive you.
Perhaps in time I'll learn to forgive,
But first I must learn how to go on and live.
