Dying Rose
I’ve never come to understand your rage
It seems to me you’re trapped in a cage
We all suffered the penalties under the same roof
bear our own scars that shows the proof
Some scars heal over time
Yours remain in its original prime
Angry and cold, you shut the world out
Every time you speak, you only shout
You build a wall and shut yourself in
Reasoning with you, no one can win.
Nobody can win
people build walls as a form of defense
twenty-four hours in strict offense
If anyone dares come close to you
You bite their head off; this is true
That's the truth
The scars could have made you softer and kinder
Compassion and empathy could be your reminder
you choose daily, so redundantly
chaotic conflicts and horrid scenes
Let go of the past and be set free
Fly as high as a bumble bee
Add some honey to your lemon days
self-control in all your ways
The world has never understood
you’ve been misunderstood
unhealed scars that you never let close
Is what makes you a dying rose
