You shall seek and you shall not find!
That's how you are catalogued
by the math combinations sequencing you
Centimeters you shall stand away from the objective!
Distance feeds you
and it feeds itself

You shall be dressed in forms and theorems
You shall be sinking in valleys of abundant numbers and shapes
You shall be shouting: "It is I"
Infinite echoes shall respond: "Who?"

I keep wanting to change "shall" to 'will' for empasis on the assonance of 'i' and to add alliteration with ' Who'. But mainly to get rid of the repetition!

Kind of I wanted the same thing, but I also wanted the irony of the last line be diffused in the formality of the rest of the poem... (win some, lose some). Thank you so much for reading, commenting and making very valid suggestions.

There’s this friend of mine who is very much into sacred geometry, and I have to say this poem takes me through that spiralling journey that fills me with such wonder every time.
There’s an old saying that you cannot know God until you know yourself. Thank you for reminding me of this with this beautiful poem.

(When I was 4 years old, I could add 3 and 4 digit numbers in my head and come up with the answer really fast. They thought I had a career in math. I'm still good with this kind of thing, but that's all I'm good at.) Thank you for your generous comment!
