A Vow
I am spiritual
And I am religious
But the two are far apart
My spirit walks its natural path
My religion is an art
The most beautiful flower
Receives nothing to compare
To the highest regard I hold for
Passion's purest stare
My body is an altar
Or so the teachings say
I understood the meaning
At the end of that day
You brought me your sacrifices
Offered yourself to me
Ravished me with your desire
And I was truly pleased
I surrendered my gift to you
Truly let you in
Melting in the ocean of one another
We witnessed lustrous zen
The dances of our spirits
Deep within our cavities
Created something most divine
We made the gods appeased
Two minds never greater
Yet never so weak
We looked each other in the eye
Vowing without speech
Was a phenomenon like no other
relinquishment so pure
Reobtaining this euphoria
Is a quest I will procure
This moment I have witnessed
I'll chase it til I die
It's always waiting there for me
Just on the other side
