Diseased
Sweet red roses,
Deceiving poses.
Delicate flowers, pink and yellow,
An unsure romance with a mysterious fellow.
Love letters and a joyful smile,
Imagining loneliness, the thought so vile.
A passionate slow dance and intertwining your fingers,
Praying so hard that this feeling lingers.
"I love you" 's and midnight calls,
Yet more uncertain nights, more tragic falls.
Kisses and tickled pink cheeks,
Feelings dissipated in the past few weeks.
A gorgeous sunset, and breathtaking moonlight.
Attempting to recover from a sleepless night.
Counting stars, and listening to a lullaby song,
Still trying to decipher why this feels so wrong.
Marriage and a stunning ring.
Imitating society, doubting everything.
Hearing divine vows, he really does care..
None of your words are genuine, this decision isn't fair.
Yesterday you were so young and innocent,
But it became your role to keep every soul content.
Pretending to love him, to keep everyone else pleased.
A ruined relationship, Love is now diseased.
