In Black
When I was younger
I wondered why
there were so many
people
wearing black,
then I went through
a few years
where I wasn't myself,
unaware of the wrongs I had done.
I came to the realization
that I had to be honest
with myself and those
around me,
so I stopped making
excuses for my actions,
became a true leader,
capable of living beyond
the absence of the sun.
