Siloed Freedom
He has isolated me
Like a bird in a cage
Let out with clipped wings
You can only roam so far
And never fly!
Growth is inevitable
Lessons learned through experience
But knowledge is nothing
Without actions to cause.
What is the effect?
Compliance is submission
As the strength of mind is hollowed
Against the strength of hand
Forbearing thoughts of freedom
Camouflage behind lowered lashes.
To embrace all that I am
Means to acknowledge that I am nothing
Created by the fibers of youthful love
Born with a million fragments of carried emotions
To live a life of paradoxical events
Above all storm clouds and rain
Serenity of a peaceful sky exists
Where the clouds have been named cotton
While those below seek shelter
Unless standing in the eye of a hurricane
Freedom of mind is only a silhouette of hope
Outlining the shadows of fear in the heart
He is chief in command
Immobilization of movement prevails!
I am stuck contemplating outcomes.
