Passions

My whole life, I've been silent
You hear me speak but you've never heard me
Only seek me out when I meditate peacefully
Only came to interrupt and disturb me
Change the direction of the paths I'm walking on
Steer me away from happiness and into the wrong directions
So I develop dependency on you
And begin to mistake your manipulation for affection
Something wicked in your eyes and something sinister in your motives
Clipped my wings so I could never fly
And left me shipwrecked in the ocean
You don't have any real love or devotion
Yet convincing me that mine isn't good enough
Claiming that what we have is what's meant to be
When you could never even reach my love
Undeserving of my touch and not worthy of my passions
Because Lord knows my heart's value
And that my passions everlasting...
