My Dear Yamuna! I am Thy Krishna!!!
I am not shrinked to applause
Thy Holy volume,
It is Thee whom we consume.
It is Thee whom we consume
From the unaccounted past,
But I cannot think beyond
My Lord's flute last.
My Lord's flute last
Gesticulated Thou mellifluous rhythm
And Thou appreciated in peace,
which thence Kaalia poisoned
And my Lord kept it under His knees.
And my Lord kept it under His knees
To retain Thy silver charm,
Habituated in calm,
Alas! Pollution Thy harm.
Alas! Pollution Thy harm,
But I am Thy Krishna Today
And I am not shrinked to retain Thy charm.
Summary...
Of all my poems this one is the special of all. This was ma first poetic attempt few years back. My mom is a school teacher working in some NGO working for the slum children. I liked their idea of teaching the students through various innovative ways when they chose their lesson plans. And it was one of their attempts when they were teaching the students to clean the holy river Yamuna flowing in the capital and to save it from the slum pollutions by dumping anything over there. over the years the river is suffering from such malpractices of the population living riverside. So ma mom proposed and asked me to prepare some slogans when I composed this one with a feel.
I have taken mythological beliefs associated with the river to inspire and motivate the students to learn not only to save the river from disgrace and oblivion, but to know in fact the historic and religious beliefs associated with it.
