The Wind Dances With Your Hair
You said you're leaving me
How could you just let me go so easily?
In a brutal and cold winter, your presence is as valuable as a source heat.
Forever warming my body and giving me rosy cheeks.
You were the heat in my home.
When you left, it was isolating and cold.
You mended my spirits when they were shattered beyond repair.
Each crack slowly closing each time you smiled or the wind danced with your hair.
The cracks have once again returned.
Are you even concerned?
Darling, I know I talked about winter, but you remind me of fall.
it's the time of the year where our memories revolve.
Rooted in the dying grass, you're all the trees.
Shedding each dying leaf off your limbs that are me.
Everytime I feel the cool breeze in the night air.
It reminds me of all the times I watched the wind dance with your dark, black hair.
Just keep pushing me off your limbs, tree.
I hope the next leaves that grow on you are better than me.
