Notes to the Wind
Let her ride on the back
Of your knowing
Be the restless wild steed
That races through the corrals
Of her heart
Whisper in her ear
The breezes of centuries
Filling her lungs
With the passion of life
Race her to the shores
Of salt and sand
Crash with her in waves
Tangled in seaweed and brine
Whipping her dry with hot breath
Be her tempestuous lover
Stealing her clothes from the line
Leaving her exposed on the mountain
Of stones and brush
Where rivers sing
Weave her hair into soft waves
That gather sunlight
Leaving her blushed in the burn
Of your grasp
She melds into the landscape
Of your harshest places
Where you whistle
blow your demands
Sweeping gales of clouds
Mist, into her waiting hands
Filling her with the laughter
Of a child, tears of a maiden
Wiped away with a
Gentle kiss
Stand with her on
Desert floors, pulling
the scream from
her parched lips
left dry
Far too long,
Spin her around in your tornado
Of dance
Splitting her into atoms
Of dust, spat out in re~birth
On the tapestry of landscapes
Whisper the ancient secrets
Of spell bound creatures
That lay dormant
Tell her everything and nothing
Leave her guessing your secrets
How after all this time
You still blow so freely
Without a care
