Left you alone
Sometimes I wish I'd just left you alone
Left every stone
Unturned never thrown
Sandpaper heart
Burned into glass
Now shattered and trashed
It hurts but it's home
That was MY lie
I made it my own
Because you said you loved me
In every moan
Whenever you cried
And I'd write you a poem
Said that you'd never leave
Lies sang in your tone
No decency
Text goodbye on the phone
Now I look inside to see if I've grown
I think I've found my light it was dim but still shone
Showed me trapped in a bubble
I called it my throne
Illusions now burst
I climb out of the rubble of dome
But would I have missed the truth I've been shown
If I got my wish and just left you alone
Left every stone
Unturned never thrown
Sandpaper heart
Burned into glass
Now shattered and trashed
It hurts but it's home
That was MY lie
I made it my own
Because you said you loved me
In every moan
Whenever you cried
And I'd write you a poem
Said that you'd never leave
Lies sang in your tone
No decency
Text goodbye on the phone
Now I look inside to see if I've grown
I think I've found my light it was dim but still shone
Showed me trapped in a bubble
I called it my throne
Illusions now burst
I climb out of the rubble of dome
But would I have missed the truth I've been shown
If I got my wish and just left you alone
