Upside Down
How upsetting a notion or picture turned upside down can be to those steeped in parochialism, the church of their truth. And aren’t we all steeped in making sure our globe is pointed true north? There are however, a group of minds, the writers among us, who deliberately point the poles of their globes to different bearings just to see what it would look like and what it would tell them. They are the jesters of today, the bold, the suicidal. Almost single handedly they shuffle the eight immutable laws or truths, mixing earth and consciousness, gravity and wind, water with electromagnetism, fire and communications, into art forms of phantasmagoric designs offering a unique clarity that the experts reject as stupidity, many more find them humorous, some provoking, while a few pick up and hold the pearls bouncing about their feet and recognize them as being profound. One jester turned a iconic painting on its head prognosticating God is a woman.
