Marionettes

Marionettes have strings
and you pull them,
yank them,
spin them and twirl them.
You make them dance, sing,
and do your bidding.
You control the story, the show.
If they don't do what you want you burn them.
You kill them.
You throw them away because they are no use to you.
How can you put on a puppet show with a rebellious marionette?
I have no strings to hold me down.
I refuse to talk for you.
I will not be pushed and pulled around.
You can't make me dance.
You can't make me sing.
I guess I'm broken to you.
Goodbye puppeteer.
You can't control me now.
