Do you see me

When I look in the mirror it's hardly beauty I see
I see hurt and pain I see hate for the inner me
It's hard to love the reflection
When all I see is rejection
Abandonment has changed me
Inside and out
I hurt internally
Is this what life is about
I want to find that rainbow
After the rain is gone
But it just keeps storming
With no rainbow to be found
When I see the reflection
And it is a joy to me
Maybe life will be different
This day I want to see
A day when I feel
The way everyone sees me
Instead of this broken being
That I see when I look at me
Beauty is in the eyes
Of the beholder
And I want to be beautiful to me
I want to look at my reflection and see nothing else but me....
