In Our Goodbye
The relinqueshed anger laces the goodbyes waved in tear filled words.
Lost in her own armor, a fortress built to keep the feels out;
Flesh is mighty fine alone,
but it becomes elderly and longs to retire to the chest that beats her rhythm and kills her defiantly strummed notes.
A cracking throat chokes on unspoken disdain, a stare to kill strength in icy lies.
Lost in his own sorrow,
dwelling on the miss pronounced explanation in her leavings, he grieves but only falls from the shelf to which he belonged.
A frail branch of hope reaches its breaking point,
And love begins the reflective Waltz, two bodies remembering the fall before the dawn.
