Exceptional You
The perfect love is you
perfect through and through
I hold you with a leash of mind
confidence and time
The perfect love is you
that’s what you say to me
I laugh, and hug you through and through
sounds about right to me
and love each other we do and do
though it may sound strange to you
I listen when she speaks to me
and guide her where she needs to be
employing methods un-behaved
a relationship is saved
from monotony’s depraved blandness
a cursed cause for sadness

Poetry is not an easy thing to read. And often times even harder to understand. I liked the lines. I liked the spacing. Poetry is abstract to me. I see the stanzas as islands and like the way they are strung together. In so many ways I thing the poem was about me and my giant ego. Smile.
