I've loved you for as long as I can remember
Now my heart is broken and tender
You've been my lover and my husband but above all my best friend
I can't believe this is how it ends
For so long you held the key to my heart
Now we're falling apart
As our relationship slowly dies
So do I on the inside
I've heard love is an art that can't be mastered
And like our relationship, it always ends in disaster
My heart has been broken for the last time
Goodbye to you and goodbye to this prison in which I reside
Tonight I'm going home
I wonder if you'll even miss me when I'm gone
Whether my home is Heaven or hell
I leave behind no story for you to tell
I have nothing left to offer and nothing left to gain
I've found a way to finally ease my pain
