Have you ever sat in the rain
The experience is so different
To walking, dancing or singing
Walking upright straightforward
There is no collection point
And when dressed appropriately
It will simply run off you downwards
In the main you will remain
Completely dry on the inside
The rain slides or bounces off you
It like you have wet immunity

Have you ever sat in the rain
And moved in a forward motion
The arms and seat of the wheelchair
Act like water collection points
But all water ends up like a pillow
Underneath you soaking you
A bit like peeing yourself but
Your pee is not nice and warm
Not that I pee myself very often
It’s unpleasant and a bit icky
Sitting in a puddle of rain
No doubt more so in a puddle of pee

Have you ever sat in the rain
Only hobos sit in the rain
Or maybe romantic couples
Drugged up junkies
Drinking alcoholics
The lost and depressed
The considering suicidal
Newly jilted lovers
Children too scared to go home
Folks living in Scotland
Or big shaggy dogs
Ginger Tom cats
Various zoo animals
Maybe I was wrong about hobos
