Am I really all that?
When I contemplate on why anyone would take the time to comment on my writing, two thoughts come to mind:
My ego thinks it was really interesting enough to warrant their time,
yet my mind wonders if it is nothing more than a sad commentary on how much our thoughts have degenerated.
In this case, I pray for all of our sakes, my ego is correct.

In this case, my entire "being" hopes "we all" have not reduced our thoughts to merely seeking only praise, or commenting on things that mean nothing in the bigger picture.

You, me, everyone who pours those lives out on these pages, are all that.
As long as we remain humble, as you do, then our Poetry has served its purpose.

Yes, I agree, as long of the latter does not tip the scale from it's balance. Thanks for the reassurance that there are many on here that seek not praise or attention, but rather sharing and enlightenment.
