SPIRITS OF THE DEMIJOHN

Tombstones line the path
I walk in solitude
Black candles burning
With pitiful nightmares

I long to hear the voices
That haunted me so very long
Now screaming to deaf ears
Murder, malice and dead songs
Devilment screams aloud
Fracturing skulls and crossbones
Play me a blackened hymn
From music chiseled in stone

Violence and heretical religion
Lost with the spirits of the demijohn
Contaminate the virtuous
And sanctify the torturous
Follow the road to decomposition

I curse the vain empty ones
At the dawn of time come too soon
Pharaohs and godless kings
Harvesting meat at goblin tombs
Balance the scales and throw
The throes in shows beneath the gloom
Blacken the mirrors now
‘fore lycan howls and haunted moons

Placate the demon
Who whispers in the night
When angels condemn
Lost ones looking for God

Violence and heretical religion
Lost with the spirits of the demijohn
Contaminate the virtuous
And sanctify the torturous
Follow the road to decomposition

Trust in rust when lust
Turns to dust on the cusp
Adjust to the disgust
Days engraved on graves
Stained by rain down the drain
Sustaining the disdain

And angels be blessed
When fallen from Heaven
And demons be damned
When ascending from flames

Gazing into the abyss
I dip my quill in the blood wells
To bring you this poetry
All the while weaving deathcraft spells
To honor the ones that died
When forging crucifixion nails
I say with heartfelt contempt
This is the end, welcome to Hell

Violence and heretical religion
Lost with the spirits of the demijohn
Contaminate the virtuous
And sanctify the torturous
Follow the road to decomposition

Trust in rust when lust
Turns to dust on the cusp
Adjust to the disgust
Days engraved on graves
Stained by rain down the drain
Sustaining the disdain

Violence and heretical religion
Lost with the spirits of the demijohn
Contaminate the virtuous
And sanctify the torturous
Follow the road to decomposition
