Two Masks
Darling, your mask is trying to slip off when
You walk out the door and into the real world
Where nobody will know that you have been
Hiding. Your smile is always poised and curled
Perfectly. Nobody knows that you have two
Different masks for your ego and outer shell.
You fool people into thinking they know you,
But which one would it be? Your hidden hell
Never shows because you never want to be
Seen that way. Darling, You are the angel and
The devil behind closed doors. You try to flee
The scene before they see you keep your hand
On the mask to keep it in place. Stay at home
Where you can be able to be free and roam.

Where nobody will know that you have been

Perfectly. Nobody knows that you have two
Different masks for your ego and outer shell.
You fool people into thinking they know you,
But which one would it be? Your hidden hell
Never shows because you never want to be
Seen that way. Darling, You are the angel and
The devil behind closed doors. You try to flee

On the mask to keep it in place. Stay at home
Where you can be able to be free and roam.
