Passion is Nine Tenths of the Law
I like to think our past, prepares us for the future. It shapes the way our perceptions evolve, and how we respond in similar situations.
Most people learn from past mistakes whilst others remain entirely unschooled in the ways of the world, and relationships, in particular.
Life is a series of cluster fucks, and the notion of 'fake it til you make it' is never going to cut it, not when measured upon the spectrum of quality vs quantity.
Don't ever make the same mistakes twice, and thats been my take away message whilst dating all the wrong people, in search of my everlasting 'lets grow old together' lover.
I'm afraid he won't emerge but I'm OK with that, deep down. I think I'm comfortable in my own skin but the desire and passion drives me towards impulsive decisions.
I'm not afraid to take ownership of my contributions to failed relationships as I've learned a lot about myself through those bonds but I do wonder why I float along thinking that passion is the law.
The latter governs me to make decisions that I wouldn't otherwise make. Risque, is not for the faint hearted.
Evidently, my cunt has a mind of its own.

Philosophical, much food for thought on learning (or failing to learn) from relationships. The one mistake I have avoided making is to look for someone who was like the person you are no longer with.
