Goodbye Kitty
I stood there
Watching you start dinner
In your kitchen
And you were preoccupied with
Giving my house key back.
I had the premonition
That the image of you
Preparing food
Wearing your aquamarine tank top
adorably inside out
And Hello Kitty pajamas
Slightly messy black hair
And ever-present seeing glasses
Would be my last vision of you.
And my heart sunk with dread.
I could not stay anymore
Saturn with his scythe has come to sever
The weeds I have nurtured
And reality has come to deliver
My fears once again
I have lost hope
Watching you start dinner
In your kitchen
And you were preoccupied with
Giving my house key back.
I had the premonition
That the image of you
Preparing food
Wearing your aquamarine tank top
adorably inside out
And Hello Kitty pajamas
Slightly messy black hair
And ever-present seeing glasses
Would be my last vision of you.
And my heart sunk with dread.
I could not stay anymore
Saturn with his scythe has come to sever
The weeds I have nurtured
And reality has come to deliver
My fears once again
I have lost hope
