My Happy Place~
On top of the hill
Where the sky kisses the ground
As the wild flowers sway in the summer wind
The beginning of sunset
When the golden glow paints the fields
As the wind carries the clean scent of grass
No pesky power lines
Just the evening sky putting on a show
And the beautiful countryside hugging me softly

This is the first I've read from you and I have to say this is a beautiful write....your word choice is spot on and the imagery and atmosphere is just breathtaking and thick.
I adore nature writes especially when wonderfully crafted as this!!

Is it a view from a place you have lived there long or moved into since you joined DUP? I can relate in a way to this because my new (of 5 weeks) village flat (apartment) also has good views from the back far out into the countryside with a number of hills, but it gets broken up by telegraph poles in a few places. A very wide uphill field is between the estate and the middle of my village (thought there are plans to build homes on it to extend the estate). I would call that my Happy Place partly for that reason, and it may inspire some new poems from me.

Just a place I keep going back to. In my teenage year's I'd go here with friend's, have a fire, watch the storm roll in and smoke a lot of pot. I hold on to the good old day's and look forward to the future. ☺
