Image for the poem Must die to live

Must die to live

Stone on the heart was too heavy
Brightest Sun with a smile waving
Never got an answer, I didn't look
Afraid that burden to shook

It was safer to keep and pretend
It wasn't there but again and again
I saw and felt inside the light days
Free from the world, prison's maze

Actions were staying in dreams
When I met a soul which screamed
So loud about love, the one I wanted
For reaching it I was always haunted

I couldn't believe she was alive
Real standing next to me in lights
Of the Sun and warm breeze around
Beside her I couldn't feel the ground

I wanted to get closer, but oh, my...
Lightning pain started to ignite
Running through my bones in and out
I was paralyzed and cried so loud

I stepped aside and left her there
Full of questions, sad and despair
How could something so sacred hurt?
How can this be? Tell me, Lord

She found me when I was sleeping
Beautiful eyes I thought I was dreaming
She touched my face and my heart ached
I felt the stone on it was breaking

I tried to fade when I couldn't bear it
She reached close: "Don't fear it.
Help me to heal your old wounds,
Love's seed must place it's roots"

She closed my lips with hers in a kiss
I felt I left my body. Joy and peace
The air was clear after the warm rain
I saw, I had to die to live again
