I Have Known Love
I have known love.
Known the love that is married for 15 years
and then unravels in violence and tears.
I have known love.
Known love that calls you it's child
and then leaves you with nothing
but a rope to hang yourself.
Because you are nothing but a disappointment.
I have known love.
Known love that no matter how
precious is frowned upon by society.
I have known love.
Known love that cradles you only to steal
the innocence from inside your heart.
I have known love.
Known love that for a moment calls you her daughter
the next she beats you so hard that the ceramic brush breaks
and the blood pours from you skull, kissing the bruises on you body.
I have known love.
Known love that promises you everything
and then makes you lose the
one thing you can never get back.
I have known love.
Known the love that makes you go so insane with anger and rage,
that you think the only way out is to take your own life.
I have known love.
Known the love of society thinks torturing the ones considered 'mad'
until they really are so then they will never live a normal life.
I have known love.
Known the love that you believe you have lost the one true person that understood you because you were angry and wasn't thinking.
I have known love.
Known love that holds you down underneath them, pushing iniside you.
Promising you no one will hear you scream.
I have known love.
Known the love that of being so happy of something that was never suppose to be but so sick because it happen in a bloody mess.
I have known love.
Known the love of wanting something
that you know you cannot have.
I have known love.
Known the love of giving another life,
of being the hero in their eyes.
I have known love.
Known the love of friendship
the love of always having a shoulder to cry on.
And hand to hold, someone to tell your secrets to.
I have known love.
Known the love that was not meant to be
but was worth tasting even if it may be considered a sin.
I have known love.
In all of it's forms.
But sadly I cannot say love has known me.
Known the love that is married for 15 years
and then unravels in violence and tears.
I have known love.
