Venting my current feelings.

Do you hear that sound?
It echoes through our bones and in the ground
Connecting with each and everyone's heart
It's tearing us all apart.

The flame dims in my eyes
As I see all the world in its lies
Opening my mind, I can finally see
The only person I could ever trust is me.

Below me is unstable ground
It won't be long before I've drowned
With one last attempt I look around
Reaching for hope when none can be found.

Time to permanently close my eyes
Leave a world in which I had such close ties
Enter the deep whimsical mind of me
The place I can go to live in harmony.
