Fear of Pain
Pain is a feeling everyone endures
Through the mind and body it is pure
But only some pain has it's cures
Other pain can penetrate your mind with fear
Like a scalpel slicing the back of your ear
So that you can't see the wound in the mirror
Only the blood running down your neck in endless tears
Or if a loved one dies
And you sit in your room kicking yourself while you cry
Wishing that person was still alive
Til chains squeeze your heart and your veins run dry
Emotional pain let's the numbness strive
While half of who you are is deprived
Letting yourself give suicide another try
But the worst pain comes from your memory
Hidden in your mind from society
Pain of the past is present pain to be
Remembering the pain cuts the mind too deep
Releasing your fear for everyone to see
And although drugs will help temporarily
But to conquer pain you can't let fear roam you mind freely
Through the mind and body it is pure
But only some pain has it's cures
Other pain can penetrate your mind with fear
Like a scalpel slicing the back of your ear
So that you can't see the wound in the mirror
Only the blood running down your neck in endless tears
Or if a loved one dies
And you sit in your room kicking yourself while you cry
Wishing that person was still alive
Til chains squeeze your heart and your veins run dry
Emotional pain let's the numbness strive
While half of who you are is deprived
Letting yourself give suicide another try
But the worst pain comes from your memory
Hidden in your mind from society
Pain of the past is present pain to be
Remembering the pain cuts the mind too deep
Releasing your fear for everyone to see
And although drugs will help temporarily
But to conquer pain you can't let fear roam you mind freely
