Falling Feathers

Falling feathers on the ground
Lets me know you're still around
Never thought she would become an angel
But I always knew... she would find a way to fly

Her beauty was like the night
She would love you until you saw her light
Like a gypsy to a flame
You could fly
Until you were consumed by her pain

Falling feathers on the ground
Lets me know you're still around
Never thought she would become an angel
But I always knew... she would find a way to fly

When I ride down Highway Ninety Six
A small worn cross is a reminder
Whiskey and white lines they never mix
With tears in my eyes
I never asked Jesus why

Falling feathers on the ground
Lets me know you're still around
Never thought she would become an angel
But I always knew... she would find a way to fly

In a field of stone
That she now calls home
I lay here with her sometimes
I never feel alone
I just look around to find

Falling feathers on the ground
Lets me know you're still around
Never thought she would become an angel
But I always knew... she would find a way to fly

Never thought she would become an angel
But I always knew... she would find a way to fly

I always knew... she would find a way to fly
I always knew... she would find a way to fly
