Remember the Truth
Silver linings are becoming silver bullets
Shooting mortal wounds in your dreams
You quickly forget the pains of yesteryear
When you're lost in the worries of today
Don't yearn for the blurred nights of sin
Remember how lonely you felt
When it was over and the sun came up
And you woke up in a cold bed alone
Don't remember your glory days
Of being wild and knowing everyone
Keep in mind that they all betrayed you
Only a few stuck around
Don't tell yourself high-school was better
Remember the old flames you had
And all the sleepless night crying
Until the fire burned your eyes raw
Don't wish for the drunken kisses at parties
Remember how sweet his love tastes
How waking up in his arms feels
And looking into his eyes and seeing forever
Shooting mortal wounds in your dreams
You quickly forget the pains of yesteryear
When you're lost in the worries of today
Don't yearn for the blurred nights of sin
Remember how lonely you felt
When it was over and the sun came up
And you woke up in a cold bed alone
Don't remember your glory days
Of being wild and knowing everyone
Keep in mind that they all betrayed you
Only a few stuck around
Don't tell yourself high-school was better
Remember the old flames you had
And all the sleepless night crying
Until the fire burned your eyes raw
Don't wish for the drunken kisses at parties
Remember how sweet his love tastes
How waking up in his arms feels
And looking into his eyes and seeing forever
