Our Neighbouring Universe

I live on remarkable planet earth
Millions of light years from our neighbouring galaxies
Our cluster of dust is moving away so dramatically
The clouds we call neighbours are pushed away by the space
The light from their centre won't ever reach our face
Though we're pulled back together, the expansion is massive
At speeds light can't reach and our brains cannot fathom
We'll never see our neighbours though try as we might
but see nothing more than the blackness of night
our neighbours inhabit a part of the scope
beyond interference that time ever wrote
We seem to be separate beings completely
though fit in the same box and organised neatly
The dark that surrounds us is space time for sure
but uninterrupted by soon and before
These neighbours are here and now, but not possible to traverse
we lovingly call these a new universe
Where light is emitted and life surely lives
but out of our grasp during all time can give
the multiverse theory means there's only one space
but multiple universes all taking place
Expansion, expansion, faster than light
Say hi to your neighbours and wave to the night
