skyline

I have seen the shades of my inner skin, hiden deep in the confines of Gods purpose, my voice disgusted by distant echoes of gun shots, handshakes left me paralyzed, smiles on they faces yet no one gives a damn when a black woman cries,

I have seen the shades of my inner skin,
I have found no words to give myself, deep beneath I have kept a person a lion to swallow my pride I have kept a light to strong it has never seen the simplest matter of shade,
Smiles on they faces yet no one gives a hand when a white man gets paid

But nah we all rest at the palms of the skyline in Gods face , my black skin has phased into the moon of my dark times, his white skin has phased into the sun of his day life,
I have seen the shades of inner skin
I have seen the hate from my inner being
I believe in the shades of my inner skin
