Head Against Heart Syndrome
A flame long extinguished
Re-ignition with a passing glance
Failed attempts at quelling madness
Hopeful at slightest chance
Winds of redemption nurture a blaze
Burning temples to the ground
Passionately the heart betrays
Shattered thoughts abound
A death grip on yesterday
Delusional visions of a fading future
Logic battles feeling
Torn between desires and knowing better
Forgiveness cast aside for fear
Destruction of our invention
There is no innocence here
Only sinners with good intention

Beauty and tragedy are laced within one another. Re-opening your heart exposes it for wounding but it also paves the way for healing hands. Sometimes it is hard to know the difference. Either way I think we are lucky to be able to experience both. Thank you for indulging me once again Ash. As always your compliments are encouraging and delightful.

This is a really nice sequence of words, thoughts, concepts and lines. If the pain is already within you (which it must be if you feel it) then it's better to lift it out gently into the light, for healing; the only way out is through.
