Truth be told

Why are we all so fake
we should be like snowflakes
We shouldn't all be the same
I admit it brings me pain
We all want to be her, him and be part of the "cool kids"
Our true personality is trapped under a lid
We become someone we're not
We brag by showing off what we bought
We spend plenty of money on our looks
Yet forgetting to read books
We are scared to be ourselves
And forgetting the importance of taking a book out of a bookshelf
We hide in our shells
And forget we should all be heard like church bells
We don't know what we want to become
Yet we decide our jobs depending on the greatest income

Why does someone opinion matter
Will those opinions lead us to disaster
