Split
My heart is split in two.
And it's all because of you.
I could blame you for what I gave up
What I took for granted. Standing with tears and empty handed.
The foolish notions
A naive girl, one who split and tore,
clawed at the world.
Dreams, a fantasy,
she broke. she bled. scarred for eternity.
Now standing here holding what she's never had and split in two cause she can't go back.
And all the things she took for granted haunt her day and night.
Should she stay with a man who loves her the way she's always wanted
or leave and return to heal the broken hearted.
If she could go back
Then she'd of never known
this man who loves her and calls her his own.
Now she knows and doesn't want to choose, if she returns or she stays she'll still lose. Lose a man. The love of her life.
Spend her nights longing and knowing she'd of been his wife. But to stay with him She would still live in misery because the rest of her heart is in Tennessee.
And it's all because of you.
