Dazed and Confused
Almost tripped and kind of fell
Face first into an ocean of my feelings
Whenever you come near
My mind says go-my wretched heart says stay
Dazed and confused-so lost in my thoughts
Holding my breath praying the pounding of my heart you can't hear
A golden ticket to hell-thats what I got
Don't you ever see the yearning in my eyes?
Want to rip this cursed, devil heart from my chest
And lay it bloody, still beating at your feet
Go, come, stay, kind, over, fell, near, ever, yearning, and

....it's truly amazing that this same story encompasses all of our lives at some point in time. I truly enjoy your treatise of this : )

At least two different metaphors come to mind with this creation. Of course there is the allusion to a Led Zep song, the vocal urgency of Robert Plant, the mania of Jimmy Page and John Bonham.
