I've read it several times and am going to let it digest before suggesting anything,  Mel. Reason being is that I'm unsure anything needs changed. My first thought was the initial sterility of the verse; however, thats exactly how we feel when dark energy grabs us. We feel cold, paralyzed, and powerless. Barely able to articulate.

There are dark forces that push us to our knees at times indeed, Mel. But their time is limited, like Job's temptation. Whenever I face times such as these, that becomes my mantra.

"You're time is limited and I know that."

Knowing is half the battle.

Thank you Ahavati.  I agree knowing is half the battle.  Sometimes, I feel blessed by my experiences with depression only in that I always come out on the other side and am somehow stronger and shining a bit brighter, if that makes sense. It is like how a rain storm allows you to appreciate the sunshine all the more.
