Guess Who's Back
They thought me dead and buried long ago
The lost girl in her white silk coffin, small
As after that, it only contains bones
I slipped away from my skeletons' thrall
To walk the secret paths alone at night
May the ghosts of Highgate whisper with me
Anybody with wisdom would take fright
But lately I've been so very lonely
For the briefest of times, I lost my words
I found them again in a stack of books
Now once again I can create new worlds
With little more than a lioness look
I long to go home to England, you see
Where there's inspiration, and seas to seize
The lost girl in her white silk coffin, small
As after that, it only contains bones
I slipped away from my skeletons' thrall
To walk the secret paths alone at night
May the ghosts of Highgate whisper with me
Anybody with wisdom would take fright
But lately I've been so very lonely
For the briefest of times, I lost my words
I found them again in a stack of books
Now once again I can create new worlds
With little more than a lioness look
I long to go home to England, you see
Where there's inspiration, and seas to seize
