Unwilling To Let Go
Can you feel the silence
Of vibrations gone unheard
From the beating of my heart
Though it never spoke a word
Yet you know how I feel
Can you read my open mind?
tHis light penetrates closed eyes
Even if your heart is blind
The truth will set us free
Through beliefs we cannot know
tHis light, living eyes can't see
Life: unwilling to let go
Of vibrations gone unheard
From the beating of my heart
Though it never spoke a word
Yet you know how I feel
Can you read my open mind?
tHis light penetrates closed eyes
Even if your heart is blind
The truth will set us free
Through beliefs we cannot know
tHis light, living eyes can't see
Life: unwilling to let go

I love the use of tHis. It touched me.
I also enjoy the flowing style you have used.
This is very good.

Thank you Lisa. I am such a hypocrite though, I used a contraction in the very same sentence as tHis. Interestingly enough, when I read this out at poetry readings, I have no way of verbalizing the capitalization, so I think it loses something at a live reading. I Suppose I could hand out a printed copy, but at a big reading that could get expensive. If only I could get everyone to buy a copy of my book before I go up to read, then they could see it for themselves and I would be able to eat a healthy supper too.
I posted this along with "No End To The Flesh" because of their similar concepts and I will be posting more of my many poems on faith and religion in the upcoming days.

I viewed your webpage...the warning of content seemed like the book may be vulgar in nature...
From what publication does this derive from may I ask?

There are several poems of a sexual nature in the book "Passion & Pain". If you look in my library of poems here, the ones classified as erotic are some of the ones I refer to. Also, poems classified as dark poems in my library are also mentioned in the warning message.
Vulgar is a word I would not use to describe them, though some may, as different people have different opinions on exactly what vulgarity is. My feeling is that which is created as art is not vulgar, though there are some who believe pornography is art, I do not. I see that as an excuse to put pornography in the hands of those who should not see it or to simply get rich off the sexual obsessions of those who desire explicit pictures to satisfy their addiction.
I create what I create to express my feelings to someone or for someone, sometimes for everyone, but I do not create art for the purpose of making money. I offer my books for sale now, after having written hundreds of them over the course of the past 30 years because I want to share it with those who will enjoy it. Not everyone has the Internet and not everyone who is on the Internet knows where to find my poems posted. The only way to get them out in physical form to anyone who may be interested is through publishing. So they are for sale, good and bad, and Amazon has the largest following of book buyers. So anyway, I felt that putting a warning on my website and on the book cover and inside the book was more than enough to keep those who way be offended if there opinion of vulgarity does not allow for erotic art.
Is this getting long winded or what?
Amazon owns the printer of the book, Create Space. Technically the publisher is my own company, Seeds And Weeds Publishing. My first book, Seeds And Weeds, was published by Book Surge Publishing, also owned by Amazon.com, which has now merged with Create Space.
I felt that Passion & Pain had to be a separate book from Seeds And Weeds as they are opposing forces within my soul. I was originally going to have them all in one book and had all of my poems copyright registered as one collection several years ago, but have nearly doubled my poetry output since then and it just made more sense to me to have two books published than one large volume where readers would have no choice.
The link I posted in the other poem goes to an Amazon.com A-store that allows me to receive an additional 1% in royalties for book sales. Condidering that I only get about $5 of the $12.59 price for the book, 13 extra cents doesn't really do much, but in todays economy, 13 cents is 13 cents and becomes 26 cents if people buy both. I hate even thinking about the financial aspect of publishing my work, but I don't feel any conflict by offering my work for sale at a resonable price.
When I first had Seeds and Weeds published, Book Surge was more strict oon price than Create Space. They set the price at $14.99 which I thought was too hig for a book of poetry by an unknown author. The only option they gave me was to lower it by $1 and reduce my royalty by $1. And they were only paying me about $2.50 per book, basically half what I get now. So I would then have only recieved about $1.50 per book. That's when I looked into the Amazon A-stores to sell the book, as 1% more in royalties made more of a difference in comparison to the base royalty.
OK, now I am being exceedingly long winded. And just for causing such a whirlwind of words, both "Seeds And Weeds" and "Passion & Pain" can be obtained at the following A-store near you
