i know not more of the Roman conquest n the above centric character you refer...yet the essence sparkles more in the adversity.. somehow this also leads me to that sudden rise of a high watt reserve energy on the verge of total exhaustion..aw yes.juz a spark of ur write makes me go places..juz me:) power to ur words so sharp n concise!

dragged in chains..am reminded of our own Indian chieftan #veerapandiya kattabomman who was hanged to death around 1780s for his revolt against the British . lol, how British seems a common thread in both..yet at different times different histories ..
